Introduction
Google's home page in Chrome is a convenient way to browse the Internet or quickly access your favorite sites, but it looks a bit monotonous with a standard theme. Fortunately, we can quickly and safely download custom themes from the Google Chrome Web Store to spice up our browser. Let's look at how to get an attractive new theme and how to disable it if you ever change your mind.
How to Change Background in Google in Chrome?
To give Google a fresh look, download a theme for Chrome. This will change the color of your bookmarks and window to match the background, so pay attention to this before you change Google's background.
To download a theme for Chrome, go to the Chrome Web Store and click on the Themes settings in the upper left corner. From here you will find several themes to choose from. If any of them catch your eye, go ahead and click on them and check them out in greater detail. Otherwise, click the View All button in the upper right corner to see more.

When you find a theme that's right for you, click the Add to Chrome button at the top right of its page to install it immediately.

How to Remove Google Chrome Theme?
If you start to regret your choice, you can always repeat the above steps to download and use the new theme. This will remove the old and give Google a new look.
Otherwise, if you want to return to the default appearance, click the three dots in the upper right corner of the browser, then click Settings. On the left sidebar, click Appearance. Then, in the Appearance category, find the Theme subcategory and click the Reset to Default button on the right. At the time of writing, the button is at the top of the Appearance page.

How to Change Google Background with Chrome Personalization Settings
The New Tab page in Google Chrome also includes built-in personalization settings so you can add a background image saved on your computer. Or you can choose different background themes available in Chrome browser. Here's how you can add a new wallpaper to your Google homepage without modifying your Chrome theme colors:

3 Click the Upload image option next to the Classic Chrome box.

4 Select the image you want to add to the Google New Tab page.

5 Click Open to add the selected image to the background.
